2014 Athens Half Marathon

Welcome in the website of the ATHENS HALF MARATHON!

The Hellenic Athletics Federation, in cooperation with the Municipality of Athens, are proud to announce the 3rd ATHENS HALF MARATHON to be held on 04 May 2014; an event that is the absolute test before the next Athens Classic Marathon just in the middle of the way there, as well as a unique opportunity to run along the most historic and significant areas of the City of Athens in the heart of spring.

This year we are coming back stronger, with an event held exclusively on the streets of Athens, starting from and finishing in front of the Syntagma Square and the Greek Parliament. More than 15,000 runners are expected to join the Athens Half Marathon this year and turn May 4th into a City’s celebration.

The Half Marathon Race will be held in parallel to a 5km and a 3km Road Race as well as a 1000m Race especially designed for people with disabilities and Special Olympics athletes.

Registrations for the Half Marathon and the 5km Road Race have just opened! We invite all runners to submit their registration in time so that they secure their participation. Specific participation limits have been set as to the number of runners; 6,000 runners will participate in the Half Marathon Race, 9,000 runners in the 5km Road Race and another 3,000 in the WIND 3km Road Race.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
